Super Bowl Halftime Show 2022 🏈 with hip hop legends!
I have been a huge fan. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J...
Their beats, the flow of the music and sound of words continuously coming out with melody. I practically grew up with the music of those artists we saw on NFL (National Football League) halftime show the other day.
A generation spot on. East coast and West coast.
What a performance!
But for a minute, it also makes me think, though I dare to complain.
Those were legendary class hip hop artists. But with lyric somewhat outdated with violence and known for harsh expression on treatment of women, gangsta tone.
Surely the world moved on from "California Love" days...?
The NFL wanted the best people in the industry to come up on the stage especially since this year the hip hop was the main theme of their entertainment?
Probably.
Then again haven't we also seen newer upcoming great hip hop artists since, that are equally eligible to be present at that show?
I was both happy to see the legends going strong as ever but at the same time a little bit saddened to see showbiz is still a stage for older generations, well in any country.
The focus stays with the money and power.
This is also a good sign that those with old timers being active is showing the depth of the music history with traditions.
Having written all that, I couldn't quite come up with one conclusion this time.
