WASEDA EL DORADO
2022. 6. 18.
Wavy curves and colorful decorations on the exterior walls remind us of Spanish legendary architect Antoni Gaudi, characterized by its wedding-cake-like exterior.
Indeed Von Jour Caux is known as Japan's Gaudi in the architectural world.
A housing complex inspired by the legendary "El Dorado" (the Golden town), which was introduced to Spain during the Age of Discovery.
The exterior walls are decorated with countless carvings and decorative tiles.
Appearing suddenly among other office buildings around make this building even more distinguishing.
Especially to think it is situated in the Waseda University region, its unlikeliness in the scenery is very unique.
