IMAGAWABASHI (Imagawa Bridge)
IMAGAWABASHI (Imagawa Bridge)
2021. 7. 28.
There is a record that Imagawabashi (Imagawa Bridge) was erected in Kanda during the 1681-1683.
The origin of the name, Imagawabashi, came from then master of the area, Imagawa.
In 1950, this whole area was reclaimed, and the Imagawa Bridge, which has been a bridge for the river nearly 300 years, was removed.
We see no sign of it now.
It is said that back then the bridge was crowded and with merchant houses of earthenware.
An old saying goes that "Tigers leave only their skins when they die, but through his achievements a man's name lives on".
Big up to Imagawa.
