Late night at Yurakucho metro station, ran into a group of raccoon dogs made in Shigaraki style. Those figures are supposed to represent rush of business, for example with its big belly indicating boldness in making decisions and bamboo hats providing protections from ill fortune.
Representations through such traditional objects at the heart of underground Tokyo is one facet of this country still holding onto good old traditions.
It is often beneath the surface, where true colour reveals itself.
I enjoy them.
